Whole Wheat Lasagna

I love lasagna.  If I'm going to an Italian restaurant, you can bet I'm going to order the lasagna.  I have a different recipe I use if sodium, calories and fat are of no concern.  But if I'm looking to watch it and get a nice full belly too, then this is the one I turn to.  There are plenty of things you can add to this like other veggies or even lean meats so this can be used as a base recipe.

If you want the printable version of the recipe, click here.

  1. That sounds really great! Thanks for sharing. I use my 9x13 pan for my regular lasagna and end up with 12 servings - the larger serving size is fantastic.

  2. Yeah because of the 'oven ready' noodles, the layers are really puny and it's kind of flat. You could make 8 servings if you're going to pair it up with a salad and bread or some other side.

  3. That sounds a lot like my 'sinful' lasagna with all the right alterations. I will certainly try this the next time I want to make lasagna.

By the way, I love this blog.

  7. Yummmmm. I don't think I've ever ordered lasagna at a restaurant. When you're married to an executive chef who makes the best, you dare not! lol

  8. First off, I want to say 'thank you'! I'm really glad you take the time to post recipes and product reviews. They aren't always ones I want to try right then (or maybe ever) but I know I've printed a couple of your recipes. As for this one, I've already printed it and while I think it'd be great with a little ground turkey added, I like having a meatless meal option. I'll be trying this soon.

  9. This looks really good. I've not been a fan of whole wheat pasta so far, but this is something I'll try with the combination of ingredients. Thanks sweet stuff!
